On July 10th, I attended the Snow Hill Fire Company annual canoe joust and had the opportunity to speak with several concerned citizens. One of the chief concerns was fiscal responsibility. Several people mentioned the out-of-county use of our Sheriff's Department patrol cars. One resident was upset that Deputies who lived outside the county were allowed to use their patrol vehicle to work off-duty security at an Ocean City area bar. This practice is a blatant example of wasteful spending and will be eliminated under my leadership.
